2023 has seen many new tile designs and formats hit the market, from new geometric shapes to bold and unique patterns. After intensive research through various interiors specialists and architectural planners we have predicted some of the tile designs that we feel will be a big hit going into 2024. Everybody is always looking to keep their homes modern and up to date with the latest trends so we want to give you an insight into what we see our customers leaning towards in the upcoming months.

Checkerboard affect

The iconic checkerboard has been a popular choice for flooring for decades, it’s amazing how this design scheme leaves a sense of nostalgia whilst still feeling current in modern design. The checkerboard options we have at Ionic Stone seem to have increased in popularity over recent months and we see this increasing even further into 2024. Last month we introduced a tumbled option to our range which has already proven to be a hot product, the Ash Blue marble compliments our Caria Luna marble to create an elegant and rustic design. Alternatively, if you’re looking for a modern scheme, our St Laurent and Carrara marbles are available in both a polished and honed finish.

Mosaics

Pushing towards the end of 2023, we have seen customer interest of our mosaic ranges shoot up! When we began to notice this trend we began researching which mosaic formats looked to be a popular choice in the market. After this research, we found a few different shapes which were proving to be big players in the market. One of the most popular new mosaics we have introduced is the Carrara KitKat Mosaic, as soon as these were initially put on sale, they sold out within one week! This proved to us that the kitKat format would definitely be one to watch come 2024. Another unique design we have introduced was the Carrara/St Laurent Hexagon Flower Mosaic, these were a risk as they are not like anything we had seen on the market before, but after seeing them we felt like they would be a great addition to our collection. A few months on and these mosaics are proving to be incredibly popular with plenty of interest from interior designers and homeowners looking for something unique and modern. In 2024 we are planning to develop our mosaic range and bring some of our most popular formats in different types of marble.

Herringbones

The herringbone became a popular shape in the market a few years ago, this format is a perfect way to add a decorative edge to any bathroom or kitchen. The intricate design of the herringbone layout make it a very popular options for homeowners and developers looking for a flooring solution that has a timeless elegance.  At Ionic Stone, we have recently introduced a number of marbles in a herringbone format which we believe will be a big hit in 2024! At the moment, we have our Carrara, Crema Marfil, Lilac and St Laurent marbles all available in a 100x305 honed format with plans for other colours in the near future.

Statement tiles

2023 has seen a vast range of different bold patterned ceramic and porcelain tiles. Originating in Morocco, these patterned tiles add visual interest to anywhere they are placed, creating a vocal point for friends and visitors. We introduced our ‘Form’ range of patterned mosaics earlier this year and they have proven themselves to be a valued part of our collection, so much so that we envision the statement tiles trend to push itself into 2024 on a steady incline. Our ‘Form’ range consists of two black and white monochrome patterns along with two patterns with more grey included in the design. These two sets of colours also come with the matching plain tiles to compliment the tones in the patterns.

Bold marble

Bold marble has always been a popular choice for many year and we don’t expect this to die out anytime soon. As we have evolved through the years, more and more marble variants have been discovered, from subtle veining’s and tones to more extreme and loud options which are bound to take the breathe away of whoever lays eyes on it. Marble in itself is unique, with no two tiles being the same. So finding a bold design that adds to this is something many people are looking for in their projects and designs. Our deluxe range houses some of the most eye catching marbles on the market. Our Onyx Honey tiles are an incredibly sought after stone in the market, the beautifully bold and unique veins are bound to be the centre of discussion in any room they are classed.
