Carrara Marble

13 Jul 2023

Carrara is probably the most well-known marble products in the market. With thousands of years of history and many ancient statues and structures produced using the famous stone, it is not a shock that it became the most sought after product in interior design and architecture. Marble as a whole brings a touch of elegance and sophistication to whichever space it is put in and with the common knowledge of the famous Carrara it creates a great vocal point in commercial areas, making it popular in high end offices and corporate spaces.

Our Carrara marble is sourced for Mugla in Turkey and has much of the same beauty as Italian Carrara. The sleek white background features beautiful grey veining. With no two tiles looking the same, the product really shows the true wonders of natural beauty. We are forever finding new formats of this marble to produce to fit with the ever changing trends in the market, although the Carrara seems to be going nowhere in terms of popularity, people are trying to find new and innovative ways to showcase this product. Below I will explain some of our most exciting and original formats of the Carrara Marble.

The herringbone formation has become incredibly popular over the past couple of years, this product creates a perfect feature without adding to much heavy colour of pattern. We originally only produced this product in the size of 150x610 but with the increased popularity of smaller features and metro designs we now supply this product in both a honed and polished finish in the size 100x305 as well as the herringbone mosaics.

Another formation that sored in popularity in 2021 was the hexagon. Hexagon formations are very new on the market and many people are producing them in porcelains and ceramics in various different colours and patterns. The hexagon formation is very striking and being produced by Ionic Stone in the already popular Carrara marble makes it one of our current top selling products. We produce both a full size hexagon piece (15cm per side) as well as smaller hexagon mosaics which look fantastic as a feature in showers or across the floor in a small en-suite bathroom.
